Welcome to Year 6!
We would like to warmly welcome your child into Year 6. We are very excited to support them on their journey through their final year at Red Hill Primary School and look forward to celebrating their achievements, creating lasting memories and preparing them for the next exciting chapter!
At Red Hill, we have three Year 6 classes:
6M Miss Melvin
6S Mr Sargent
6A Mr Ali
Mrs Smoothy runs targeted interventions across the year group, whilst Miss Greig, Mrs O'Connor-Close and Mrs Bishop work with individual children and small groups.
Our Class Pioneers
Our Class Pioneers are inspirational people who have made a difference through their ideas, creativity, curiosity and determination. They remind us that being a pioneer means having the courage to think differently, follow your passions and make your own mark on the world.
6M- David Attenborough
A pioneering broadcaster and natural historian who has inspired generations to discover, understand and care for the natural world.
“No one is going to protect the natural world unless they understand it.”
6S- Alan Turing
A brilliant mathematician and computer scientist who helped shape modern computing and played a vital role in breaking the Enigma code during the Second World War.
“We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.”
6A- David Bowie
A pioneering musician and artist who constantly reinvented himself, challenged expectations and encouraged people to be bold and creative.
“I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring.”
