Welcome to the web page for Burnt Oak Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

What Does the PTA Do?

We have a very successful PTA made up of parents, family members and staff who work hard to support the school and arrange memorable events for the children and their families and friends to enjoy at Burnt Oak. The funds raised at these events are used to enhance the childrens learning and the school environment.  All events are advertised through the schools newsletters, flyers and letters are emailed home and they also have a Facebook page!

How Can You Get Involved?

Every parent and carer is automatically a member of the PTA and are more than welcome to come and join in. The PTA are eager to hear from anyone willing to help with the many jobs involved in organising their events. These include standing as a specfic committee member, volunteering to help at events, donating time to help prepare resources for events, bake cakes or wrapping lucky dip presents; the list is endless!

The PTA are looking for new members to join them and get involved in shaping and planning future events and activities. More hands make light work and additional events can be added throughout the year if more people become involved.

Other Ways To Help

In addition to the events the PTA hold to raise funds there are a number of other ways to fund raise as you can see below-

Easyfundraising - sign up for free and shop online through www.easyfundraising.org.uk/burntoakjs at over 2000 companies and collect free donations with every purchase. You can down load the app onto your phone or tablet so you can shop easily and never miss a donation!

Match Fund - Companies pledge to donate a sum relating to the amount their employee raises through volunteering. An example would be a parent who works for a company who offers match funding volunteers to run a stall at the Spring Fete. The profit made on that stall is matched or money given (up to a set amount) by the company to the school, which doubles the money raise without any extra effort. This is a massive help to the PTA and their fund raising efforts so please ask your employer or HR manager if they are willing to match fund for Burnt Oak PTA events. Thank you!
