Red Hill Sports Day
Every Summer we have a Sports Day event involving the whole school, with Key Stage 2 in the morning and Key Stage 1 in the afternoon.
Every child at Red Hill is allocated to a house, either blue, green, red or yellow. All the children take part in a variety of activities and gain points for their House. At the end of the Sports Day we present the cup to the winning House Captains.
As well as encouraging all our children to participate we also believe it is very important to recognise talent. We therefore hold elite races for the fastest runners as well as inviting our Year 6 pupils to take part in a 200 metres or 400 metres event. We always organise an extra athletic event for our older children such as javelin.
We finish our Sports Day with a race to find the fastest boy and fastest girl in each Key Stage and they are presented with a medal.

Sports Day 2014
After an amazing day of competition, we managed to come out with winners for our competitions.
In the morning, the Key Stage 2 Sports Day provided the closest competition ever, with just 17 points separating 1st and last place.
Congratulations to Red Team
In the afternoon, red team continued their success and also won the Key Stage 1 cup, so congratulations again to them.
What was so lovely to see was that all the children took part and did their very best to compete for the cups. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported today, as your enthusiastic cheering helped make this an occasion to remember.
Thank you to Miss Cowley and Miss Payne for organising such a fantastic day.
